About Me

I have worked in academic libraries for my entire career.  I have worked at Rutgers for a number of years, and have held a variety of positions here, including Special Formats Catalog Librarian and Head of Cataloging and Metadata Services.  My responsibilities include chairing the Futures Group, a group of untenured faculty librarians.  I also was part of a group that developed the Libraries' faculty mentoring program and currently serve as a mentor to an untenured faculty librarian.

I'm active within ALCTS, a division of the American Library Association. I currently serve as editor-in-chief of Library Resources & Technical Services (LRTS), ALCTS' official scholarly journal.  I'm also part of a group that's developing a pilot program to mentor new authors.

I have written a number of books, including Describing Digital, Electronic, and Other Media Using AACR2 and RDA: A How-to-Do-It Manual and Rethinking Technical Services: Redefining Our Profession for the Future.
