Kathy Schalk-Greene is the Executive Director of LibraryLinkNJ. Before coming to LLNJ in December 2015, she served as Director of the Mount Laurel Library. Kathy was also named 2005 New Jersey Library Association's Librarian of the Year for leading her library team through the Trading Spaces: Reinventing the Library Environment Project, which showcased retail-style display merchandising and customer service techniques in a public library environment. With funding from the New Jersey State Library, she headed the SWAT Team of Library Transformers to make over NJ libraries using experienced library experts as consultants. Earlier in her career, as Program Development Coordinator for the South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative, Kathy was responsible for professional staff development at all levels, for over 500 multi-type libraries. Previously, she managed an integrated library system for 12 libraries and a bookmobile, as Project Director for the Gloucester Online Library Database. Her love of movies and undergraduate degree in film was put to good use at the South Jersey Regional Film and Video Library, where she served as director for 10 years.
