Resources for College Libraries (RCL)
We are pleased to announce the unique collaboration between Choice, a publishing division of ACRL, and bibliographic authority Bowker, to bring librarians the new Resources for College Libraries (RCL), the long-awaited successor to the third edition of Books for College Libraries, published in 1988.

RCL is the basis for a suite of resources for collection development, reference, and bibliographic instruction.
Combining Choice's editorial experience and Bowker's workflow functionality tools, RCL is a premier resource necessary for academic libraries of all sizes.  RCL is the core list of hand-selected print and electronic titles chosen by more than 300 subject-expert editors and contributors. Covering more than 68 curriculum-specific subject areas, RCL is available in both print and web-based editions. In addition, the core list is used as the basis of Bowker's new Book Analysis System for Colleges and Universities (above), a collection-analysis tool that allows the comparison of RCL titles with a library's collection.
