Descriptions

For the first time in history we have five generations of employees in the workplace and in our libraries. Each generation prefers different learning and communication styles and has vastly different motivations. In this session, participants will learn how to communicate with, understand, and appreciate the differences between the generations as well as the common bonds we all share.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the five generations,
  • Describe each generation’s unique characteristics
  • Develop a deeper understanding of how shared generational experiences impact individuals from that generation
  • Interact and communicate more effectively with people from different generations
  • Incorporate new knowledge and understanding of generations to improve communication at work and to work more productively in teams
