NJ Makers Day

March 21, 2015 is NJ Makers Day!

Join the growing MAKER CULTURE of young and old to learn about and experience practical doing and tinkering with 3-D printing, electronics, CNC tools, metalworking, woodworking and all sorts of technology-related arts and crafts that are part of the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) world.

On Saturday, March 21, 2015 makers from across New Jersey will be coming together to celebrate and share the maker culture.

  • NJ libraries, schools, museums and commercial and public makerspaces will host fun and interesting events throughout the state. Presenters, entrepreneurs, small business owners, professionals and especially children, teens and parents will come together to share their enthusiasm for, and interest in, the culture of making and creating.

  • NJ Makers Day festivities run from 10 am to 4 pm at over 135 locations throughout NJ. An inaugural kickoff event will be held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, which includes a special videotaped message from Senator Cory Booker. These proceedings will be streamed live and may be viewed by everyone.
