Super Library Supervisor

Registration for the Super Library Supervisor Workshop Series 2017 will open at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 7th.

This annual series of training workshops in supervisory skills has been serving the New Jersey library community for over 15 years.

Series Topics and Dates:

  • What it Means to be a Supervisor 
    Wednesday, March 22, 2017 - 9:30am- 3:30pm; (Wednesday, March 29 is the snow date for this workshop)
  • Personnel Documentation & Evaluation
    Wednesday, April 5, 2017 - 9:30am- 3:30pm
  • Communications and Resolving Staff Conflict
    Wednesday, April 19, 2017 - 9:30am- 3:30pm
  • Human Resources Basics That Every Supervisor Should Know AND Running Successful Meetings
    Wednesday, May 3, 2017 - 9:30am- 3:30pm

Continental breakfast and networking from 9:00 to 9:30 am.

Location: Monroe Township Public Library, 4 Municipal Plaza, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 (Middlesex County)

This is a series of 4 workshops - participants must commit to attend all 4 and also plan for the possible snow date of March 29th.

Space is limited to 30 participants (up to 2 from one library organization).

Deadline: Registration will close on Tuesday, February 21st. We will accept up to 50 registrants. 30 participants will be chosen from this group by lottery.

Cost: $199 - includes all course materials, continental breakfast and lunch for all 4 sessions.

Super Library Supervisor is extremely popular and space is limited to 30 participants to maintain a high level of quality in each workshop. We will be using the same equitable registration and lottery process implemented in 2016:

  • Registration will open at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 7. We will take up to 50 initial registrants through Tuesday, February 21.
  • Once we close registration, we will use a lottery process to select a final total of 30 workshop participants.
  • We are maintaining the limit of up to two participants from each library organization

Notes

Cancellation Policy:

You may cancel up to ten 10 business days before a scheduled class/event without penalty and receive a credit for another class or a full refund. If you cancel less than ten days before, you are responsible for payment. The only exception is if LibraryLinkNJ cancels the class/event.

LibraryLinkNJ reserves the right to cancel any class/event that is less than 60% full within 7 business days of the class. If LibraryLinkNJ cancels a class, you will receive a credit toward another class or a full refund. In the event of a class cancellation, we will make every attempt to notify you directly at least 48 hours in advance.

Class/event cancellations due to snow or severe weather conditions will be listed on our main page.

We will notify registrants as soon as possible with the results of the lottery

Registration for the lottery is online only. Register online by using the link below. You can only register yourself and only register once.

No registrations will be accepted before the opening date and time.
