Join colleagues from around the state at one of two locations
for a uniquely New Jersey learning experience at
TechFest 2017!

We are selecting six or seven hot topics for our 20-minute Table Talks that we think will be of keen interest to all libraries in 2017.  Plus a a special presentation at the end of the morning to the whole group.

At Parsippany (subject to change)

  • Augmented Reality: practical applications for libraries
  • Lending Non-Traditional Items: what and how

  • Chromecast Tips & Tricks: not just a casting device - it does a whole lot more
  • Learning to Code:  why its important, tools for beginners, resources
  • Mobile Gaming: how to use them for clubs, contests & events and other forms of customer engagement

Audience: Everyone working in NJ libraries - no matter what type of library, level of knowledge, familiarity or comfort with tech.  Mix and mingle with newbies and tech experts alike.

Time:  Each program is 10 AM - 1 PM, with coffee and registration starting at 9:30 am.

Registration is open for both dates and locations.

Choose from two dates and two locations:

  • Wednesday, January 11, 2017, Parsippany Public Library (snow date is Tuesday, Jan. 18th)
    • Registration Deadline: Wednesday, January 4, 2017, 4:00 PM  Parsippany registration and wait list are filled.  
  • Tuesday, March 8, 2017, Gloucester County Library, Mullica Hill
    • Registration Deadline: Wednesday March 1, 2017, 4:00 PM
Notes

Cancellation Policy:

You may cancel up to ten 10 business days before a scheduled class/event without penalty and receive a credit for another class or a full-refund. If you cancel less than ten days before, you are responsible for payment. The only exception is if LibraryLinkNJ cancels the class/event.

LibraryLinkNJ reserves the right to cancel any class/event that is less than 60% full within 7 business days of the class. If LibraryLinkNJ cancels a class, you will receive a credit toward another class or a full refund. In the event of a class cancellation, we will make every attempt to notify you directly at least 48 hours in advance.

Class/event cancellations due to snow or severe weather conditions will be listed on our main page.

You may also call LibraryLinkNJ at 732-752-7720 or 866-505-5465 (LINK) after 7AM on the day of the class. A staff member or pre-recorded message will inform you if any classes/events have been cancelled due to weather conditions.
