LibraryLinkNJ’s Executive Board has reorganized, as they do each fiscal year. Please welcome our new officers:
- President: Candice Brown, Clifton Public Library
- Vice President: Kimberly Paone, Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library
- Secretary: Lynn Pascale, Collingswood Middle School & High School
- Treasurer: Rick Van der Wende, Lay Representative
- Assistant Treasurer: Joe Toth, Richard Stockton College
Deputy State Librarian Peggy Cadigan has replaced the retired Victoria Rosch as the New Jersey State Library liaison to the Executive Board.
New Board President Candice Brown shares, “I am honored to have been elected as president of LibraryLinkNJ’s Executive Board. I would like to thank my predecessor, Jane Crocker, for all her hard work as president and I look forward to working with all my colleagues on the Executive Board. This is a time of transition for LibraryLinkNJ, as we wish Cheryl O’Connor all the best in this exciting new chapter in her life. Her leadership during her time with both Infolink and LibraryLinkNJ will be greatly missed. As we search for a new Executive Director, I am confident that LibraryLinkNJ will continue its history of outstanding service and innovation to its members.”
We echo Candice’s warm thanks to former Board President Jane Crocker and offer her a big cheer for having led the Board with enthusiasm, skill and good humor through FY14 and FY15.
Executive Director Search Announced:
The LibraryLinkNJ Executive Board is pleased to announce that it has hired Bradbury Associates/Gossage, Sager Associates to assist in the search process for replacing the retiring LLNJ Executive Director, Cheryl O’Connor. The nationally recognized search firm specializes in executive searches for libraries.
The search process will begin this month and continue into the fall. The goal is to make an appointment by the end of November, with the new Executive Director starting by January 2016. The position will be advertised locally and nationally, and will be an open, competitive search.
Cheryl's last day in the office will be Wednesday, September 30th.
A Board Executive Search Task Force has been appointed to marshal the process and advise the Board.
The Task Force members are:
