What Do Libraries Look for in Their Next Hire?
A panel of supervisors and directors will share what they look for in a candidate,
what they are looking for during the interview, and
what skills they value the most in their employees.
2:25 - 3:10 pm
Networking - Keeping It Current with Your Professional Network
Meet new colleagues and/or participate in some practical activities.
You can participate in one-on-one mock interviews or have your resume reviewed
with the help of several library supervisors and directors.
This can be a valuable experience for new librarians, para-professionals, job seekers,
or anyone looking to make sure their interview skills stay sharp and
are interested in keeping their resume current.
Or have your headshots done for free by a professional photographer and
simply enjoy the networking time with your colleagues and make new friends!
