LibraryLinkNJ has offered several Drupal-related workshops for members who are interested in using Drupal, an open source content management platform. Through those workshops, LibraryLinkNJ created a sample Drupal 7 website that libraries can use and adapt to create their own websites. The sample site uses one of the Drupal 7 Responsive Web Design themes. One of the advantages is the flexibility to set the screen size/display for a variety of devices.
LibraryLinkNJ member libraries and library-related agencies are eligible to download a sample site at no cost. LibraryLinkNJ has made some improvements on the sample site recently, and the new and improved videos are now available to help libraries to modify/customize the sample site for their own library at their own pace. These videos are also helpful to watch before you determine if Drupal is right for your library or not. Please note that user log-in is required to view the video list and download them. Other materials and supporting documents will be added as necessary.
Please contact Mi-Sun at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to set up or download a sample site for your library, or have any questions about using the sample site.
LibraryLinkNJ also provides a Drupal Users Group for members.
Currently, we have 11 libraries that have launched their websites using the sample site. There are additional libraries that have participated in the workshops are currently working on their Drupal websites.
