Birds of a Feather: Harness the Power of Your Social Style

This workshop will provide you with the tailored results of your Social Style Profile Assessment. Social Style is determined by a combination of two dimensions of behavior: assertiveness and responsiveness. Both incorporate interpersonal communication preferences, as well as traits that can be learned and practiced. Improve your overall work and personal satisfaction by learning to understand and apply your Social Style in a variety of settings. Discover tips, techniques, and have the opportunity to test-drive your own skills with a series of participatory exercises.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Define assertiveness and self-confidence, and list the four styles of communication
  • Determine the primary behavioral patterns that allow you to define the Style of a person
  • Display rapport-building skills through assertive methods of expressing disagreement and dialogue building techniques
  • Explain the difference between listening and hearing, and understand the importance of questioning skills in communication
  • Practice strategies for gaining positive outcomes in difficult interpersonal situations
  • Utilize methodologies for understanding your worth--and use of positive self-talk
  • Structure your behavior to help ensure a productive and satisfying interpersonal relationship¬†
