As always, delivery services to school libraries is halted during the summer months. The last delivery service stop to school libraries will be Friday, June 8. Delivery Services to schools will resume on Monday, September 10, 2012.

Registration is open for LibraryLinkNJ’s Spring Membership Meeting! The meetings, held simultaneously in three locations, will be connected by videoconference on Tuesday, May 22, from 2-4:15 PM.
The three locations are:

Passaic County Community College, Wanaque -- Wanaque Academic Center

There will be time for questions. Everyone is welcome, but space is limited, so register today!

If you were the voting representative for your library in your former Regional Library Cooperative, we should have you listed as the voting representative for your library in LibraryLinkNJ, the New Jersey Library Cooperative. We are thrilled to announce that LibraryLinkNJ has purchased 20 licenses for the Lynda.com Online Training Library, a massive online training resource. Using their thousands of videos, you can learn -- on-demand and at your own pace -- how to use tools ranging from Excel and PowerPoint to Tumblr and CSS.
Every month, we’ll open registration for up to 20 people. This month, all 20 seats filled by 10:30 AM on the first day! Once registered, you will be able to use your Lynda.com login for three weeks to learn from established trainers almost any technology topic you can think of.
Registration is open only on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of each month and is limited to 20 simultaneous users. Registration for June will be open on Tuesday, June 12th and Wednesday, June 13th.

EBSCO Bootcamp
EBSCO Boot Camp is back! The New Jersey State Library, in partnership with LibraryLinkNJ, is pleased to announce two dates and two locations for a free summer EBSCO Boot Camp for School Librarians.
The morning session (Part 1) will explore the basic features and functionality of the interfaces including lexile searching, developing an activity, and content of the databases.
The afternoon session (Part 2) will cover advanced searching techniques, including creating a personal folder, using alerts and search history.

In response to member requests, LibraryLinkNJ is very pleased to sponsor a new eBook discount offer with Gale Cengage. To achieve the extended timeframe for members to use FY2013 funds, the LibraryLinkNJ office will manage invoicing and payments. Many of you expressed a need to enter the eBook arena and others expressed a need to expand or update existing Gale eBook collections. Please spread the word to appropriate staff.
LibraryLinkNJ Public and School Library members are eligible for the following discounts: 30% or more off eBooks from Gale Virtual Reference Library and other individual titles 25% off the new National Geographic Magazine Archive, 1888-1994.
The deadline to commit to this offer is June 15, 2012. Libraries may pay using FY2012 funds by June 30, 2012 or FY2013 funds by November 20, 2012.
