Heidi Steiner Burkhardt joined the Design & Discovery unit of Library Information Technology at the University of Michigan as a User Experience Specialist in October 2015. She contributes to all areas of user experience with a focus on content and information architecture. Prior to joining U-M, Heidi spent over 6 years at Norwich University’s Kreitberg Library, first as Distance Learning Librarian and later as Head of Digital Services. Her library career has included a wide variety of duties from reference, instruction and circulation to systems, web services and technology oversight. Heidi is an active speaker and has presented at regional and national levels on user experience, writing for the web and online instruction.
