The Union City Public Library is looking for three Part-Time Digital Literacy instructors with excellent technology and communication skills to deliver one-on-one computer related courses (basics, Office Suite, etc.) to adults.
Candidates should have experience teaching adult learners and leading training sessions in a variety of formats.
Candidates should have intermediate to advanced computer skills including high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office.
The employee will be expected to troubleshoot basic technical issues as they arise.
This is a 10-15 hrs/week position with both day and evening hours available.
This grant-funded temporary position pays $25-30/hour with no benefits. It is expected to run through 09/15/22 with the possibility of continuation contingent on funding.

Required:
- Teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to creatively deliver training materials in an In-person and online setting
- Ability to effectively, and confidently, present information and respond to questions in a real time environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support.
- Ability to comply with record keeping protocols
- Ability to attend in-person training at the Plainfield Public Library
Desirable experience, skills & attributes include:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
