Takes a leadership role in developing collections and services for youth, coordinating summer reading programs and other system-wide events for youth.
Provides leadership, staff training, and coaching to paraprofessional staff working with youth.
Evaluates paraprofessional employees involved with youth services and provides feedback to Branch Managers and Branch Services Coordinator.
Develops and recommends short and long-range plans for program development and operations
Responsible for system-wide collection development for youth collections and coordinates with Branch managers to maintain branch collections, including weeding and reassigning materials to other branches
Provides occasional library programs to branches
Provides outreach to County agencies, schools, and groups serving youth in the County.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with library and community organizations, the general public, coworkers, and county departments.
Provides professional services for reference, readers advisory, and training on library software, electronic resources and equipment.
This is a full-time Librarian 3 position (35 hours a week), with benefits, $54,287
