LINDEN PUBLIC LIBRARY TO PARTNER WITH JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICE TO HOLD FREE CITIZENSHIP CLASSES AT THE LIBRARY;TEN-WEEK LONG COURSE BEGINS  ON JULY 11THAT 6:30 P.M.

The Linden Public Library is proud to partner with the Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) of Metrowest New Jersey to sponsor a 20-session U.S. Citizenship course. The course will be held at the Linden Public Library, located at 31 East Henry Street in Linden. Classes are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. They will begin on Monday, July 11th and continue for ten weeks through September 19th. No classes will be held on Labor Day, September 5th.

Jewish Vocational Service is offering this free class to help Legal Permanent Residents prepare for the United States Citizenship Exam. The curriculum includes English instruction, American History, Civics, and the N400 Naturalization Application. The class will give students the chance to practice for 100 civics questions and participate in mock interviews. Each student will receive a textbook and study materials. A Green Card is required to participate and must be brought to the first class.

The Linden Public Library has been at the center of the city’s social, cultural, artistic and educational life since it was founded in 1928.
