Since 2013, I have served in supervisory roles and administration in public libraries. Currently, I am the Library Director of a small library, overseeing all levels of staff and activities. My previous position included the management of over 40 full- and part-time staff involved with building maintenance, circulation and technical services, adult services and teen services across a two-branch organization. I have extensive experience with budgets, building facilities, employee development and evalustion, collection development and acquisitions, community outreach, programming, and, in particular, the varied services that fall within the user experience. I have a strong interest in and passion for continuing to advocate for all library users, as well as a (personal and professional) love for writing and editing.
I began my library service in 1996 as a Page and worked through the "ranks," and earning my MLIS in 2005. Over the span of my career, I have relied heavily on professional networking, training and development, and have felt strongly about continuing on that journey by contributing to the profession with various leadership positions within LMxAC, the NJLA Executive Board, and the New Jersey Makers Day Board.
