About Me

Since 2013, I have served in supervisory roles and administration in public libraries. Currently, I am the Assistant Director of Public Services at Hunterdon County Library (MAIN consortia), overseeing a staff of 48 across the departments of Circulation, Adult Services, Teen/YA Services, and Children's Services in a three-branch county system. My previous positions included serving as the Library Director of a small library in Middlesex County (LMxAC), Associate Director of a two-branch system, and a librarian in various types of public libraries (suburban, urban, small, medium) serving young adults and teens. I have extensive experience with budgets, building facilities, employee development and evaluation, collection development and acquisitions, community outreach, programming, and, in particular, the varied services that fall within the user experience. I have a strong interest in and passion for continuing to advocate for all library users, as well as a (personal and professional) love for writing and editing.

I began my library service in 1996 as a Page and worked through the "ranks," earning my MLIS in 2005. Over the span of my career, I have relied heavily on professional networking, training and development, and have felt strongly about continuing on that journey by contributing to the profession with various leadership positions within LMxAC, the NJLA Executive Board, and the New Jersey Makers Day Board. I am a past president of both NJLA (2021-22) and NJMD (2020-23).
