LibraryLinkNJ strives to create continuing education opportunities that fit the needs of library staff members in all positions, from all library types. LibraryLinkNJ offers workshops on a wide variety of current library topics and in many areas of professional development, both in-person and online via webinars.

CE Certificates

LibraryLinkNJ no longer automatically issues CE Certificates to all class or webinar attendees. Certificates of attendance and certificates reflecting Continuing Education credits (where applicable) are available upon request. Certificates are issued for live attendance at in-person events or webinars; certificates will not be issued to those who watch a recorded webinar. If you need a certificate, please reach out to the LLNJ Continuing Education team at Email.

Registration Information

LibraryLinkNJ events/classes are open to all staff from member institutions.

  • Whenever possible, we strive to remove barriers by offering registration that requires no login. For most webinars or online events, utilize the “Click here to register” link at the bottom of the event page for a simple Zoom login utilizing your name and preferred email address.
  • In some cases, including select virtual events and most in-person events, you will need to be logged in to your free LibraryLinkNJ online account in order to register. Once registered, you can utilize the “Click here to register” link at the bottom of the event page and follow the prompts to register using your existing account information.
  • If you’re having trouble registering for any event, feel free to call our office (732-752–7720) or email our Continuing Education team (Email) for assistance.

Fees & Payment

Free Opportunities
It is the goal of our Continuing Education team to make professional development and networking opportunities as accessible as possible to all members of the NJ library community. Therefore, most of our continuing education opportunities are fully subsidized by LLNJ and offered free of charge. When that’s the case, you’ll find it clearly stated in the program information on the event page.

Paid Opportunities
Some continuing education opportunities do require a fee for attendance, and registration fees do vary. Cost information for those events will be clearly stated in the program information on the event page. After you’ve registered for a paid opportunity, an invoice will be emailed or mailed, utilizing the contact information associated with your LLNJ user account. The invoice will come from the LLNJ Billing Department.

LibraryLinkNJ subsidizes the cost of each class to make high-quality, low-cost training available to staff of member libraries. It is our expectation that payment will be remitted promptly upon receipt of your invoice; please pay registration fees immediately upon receipt of your invoice. Payments cannot be accepted in person at an event.

Cancelation Policy

For paid events, you may cancel up to ten 10 business days before a scheduled class without penalty and receive a full refund. If you cancel less than ten days before the event, you are responsible for payment.

Events canceled by LibraryLinkNJ due to severe weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control will be listed on our main page. Registrants will receive an email regarding event cancellation.
