Thanks for Joining Us! AT NJLA

LibraryLinkNJ was a proud sponsor of the recent New Jersey Library Association Annual Conference: Sustainably Forward! We want to thank NJLA for welcoming us to be part of this exciting, engaging, and energizing conference!

Thanks for Joining Us! AT NJLA

Thanks to all of the many library staff members who stopped by our Exhibitor Booth to meet the team - pictured above - and ask your questions, share your feedback, or offer your suggestions about LLNJ! We are thrilled that all of our team members were able to attend the conference and meet so many of you face-to-face for the very first time.

We also want to extend our thanks to those who attended the Wednesday Networking Luncheon - pictured below - sponsored by LibraryLinkNJ. We hope you found this to be a great opportunity to meet and mingle with your colleagues over a meal!

For even more networking fun, we were thrilled to be able to once again offer in-person MentorNJ Meetups to conference attendees. Our Youth Services, API, Adventures in Administration (pictured below) and Tech (pictured below) meetup participants engaged in fun and meaningful conversations on a wide variety of topics. We hope those who attended these in-person meetups will continue to join us for virtual meetups throughout the coming year!

One thing that always makes the NJLA Conference an exciting event for us is the opportunity to collaborate with our partners. This year, our Programming & Outreach Manager, Darby Malvey, teamed up with our friends Mary Moyer of NJASL, Melissa Brinn of the NJLA Young Adult Services Section, and Lynette Fucci of the NJLA Children's Services Section to present an in-depth look at School Collaboration From the Inside Out, providing public library staff with strategies for utilizing New Jersey Student Learning Standards as building blocks for collaboration with local schools. We are also grateful that Darby was able to join our friends from the NJASL Executive Board (pictured below) - including Mary Moyer, Tricina Beebe, Beth Raff, Gab Casieri, and Ewa Elliott - to moderate a panel covering the details of the new Information Literacy Standard. As always, we're grateful to the statewide partners who work with us all year long to help us bring valuable information to the library community!

Congratulations to NJLA and the NJLA Conference Committee on once again offering such a wonderful event! We left the conference feeling newly inspired by the keynotes and conference sessions, as well as newly engaged with the NJ library community. We're already looking forward to next year!
