Winter Virtual Author Event: Rick Martínez and Erin Jeanne McDowell

Join us as award-winning chefs and cookbook authors Rick Martínez and Erin Jeanne McDowell chat about their latest books and favorite recipes.

  • Rick Martínez is the host of the companion video series Mi Cocina and Sweet Heat, both on the Food52 YouTube channel, and Pruébalo on the Babish Culinary Universe channel. He cohosts the Borderline Salty podcast with Carla Lalli Music, is a regular contributor The New York Times, and teaches live, weekly cooking classes for the Food Network Kitchen. He currently resides in Mazatlán with his dog, Choco, where he cooks, eats, and enjoys the Mexican Pacific coast. Follow him on Instagram @chefrickmartinez.

  • Erin Jeanne McDowell teaches weekly baking classes on Food Network Kitchen and hosts the series Bake it Up a Notch for Food52. Her first book, The Fearless Baker, was named one of the Best Baking Books of the year by The New York Times. Her most recent books, The Book on Pie and Savory Baking, are New York Times Bestsellers. She is based in the New York metro area where she lives with her husband, Derek and pup, Brimley. Follow her on Instagram @emcdowell.

Moderator Kristi Chadwick is a Consultant with the Massachusetts Library System, where she provides training, continuing education, and advisory services across the state. She also serves as adjunct faculty for the School of Library & Information Science at Simmons University.
