Super Library Supervisor Workshop FY2023, Spring

Registration for the Super Library Supervisor Workshop Spring Series FY2023 will open at 7:00 AM on Monday, February 6.
This series of training workshops in supervisory skills has been serving the New Jersey library community for more than 20 years. This spring, our workshop series will be fully virtual, allowing participants to engage with the series from the safety and comfort of their own homes or libraries.
Series Topics and Dates:
- What it Means to be a Supervisor and Know Your Why, Motivating and Supporting Your Staff
- Wednesday, March 29th, 10AM - 3PM
- Personnel Documentation & Evaluation and HR Basics Every Supervisor Should Know
- Wednesday, April 5th, 10AM - 3PM
- Open & Honest Communication in the Workplace and Building Relationships & Resolving Staff Conflict
- Wednesday, April 12th, 10AM - 3PM
- What Your Staff Aren't Telling You: Leading with Empathy and Running Successful Meetings
- Thursday, April 20th, 10AM - 3PM
Workshops will be conducted via Zoom. Login information and links will be shared with attendees prior to each workshop date. Each workshop date will include a scheduled 1 hour lunch break.
Target Audience:
- Library staff who are currently supervisors and have less than five years of supervisory experience.
- Participants MUST be actively working as a supervisor at the time the series begins.
- More experienced supervisors are welcome, if this is their first supervisory training.
This is a series of 4 workshops. Participants are required to attend all 4 workshops.
Space is limited to 35 participants.
Deadline: Registration will close on Friday, February 24th or when the limit has been reached, whichever comes first. We will accept up to 50 registrants. 35 participants will be chosen from this group by lottery.
Cost: $159, inclusive of all courses and digital copies of all course materials.

LibraryLinkNJ subsidizes the cost of each class to make high-quality, low-cost training available to staff of member libraries. Please pay registration fees promptly when requested.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel up to ten 10 business days before a scheduled class/event without penalty and receive a credit for another class or a full refund. If you cancel less than ten days before, you are responsible for payment. The only exception is if LibraryLinkNJ cancels the class/event.
In the event of a class cancellation, we will make every attempt to notify you directly at least 48 hours in advance. You may also call LibraryLinkNJ at 732-752-7720 after 7AM on the day of the class.
