Providing Instruction in a Mobile Tech World

New!

In the past five years, the use of mobile technology has become a part of everyday life and is deeply enmeshed in our daily lives. In the classroom and school library, mobile technology and apps can influence standard teaching practices and actively engage students in learning. In this hands-on BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) workshop, participants will learn the value mobile technology can add to the classroom and library and leave with an extensive list of professionally vetted educational apps that support the AASL Standards for the 21st Century Learner and Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

After this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • articulate the value of using mobile technology in education
  • curate, evaluate, and identify apps that add value to instruction and learning
  • integrate apps into their personal and professional lives
