$20./hour, variable schedule, 3-19 hours/week
PT employment includes NJ Sick leave and enrollment in NJ DCRP.
The Avalon Free Public Library is looking for a friendly, flexible, and tech-savvy On-Call Library Assistant to join our team! This position helps support both the Library and History Center by providing excellent customer service, assisting visitors, and keeping our spaces welcoming and organized.
As an On-Call Library Assistant, you’ll work as needed to assist with coverage at the library and museum - checking materials in and out, assisting patrons with computers and mobile devices, and helping visitors learn more about Avalon’s history. If you enjoy working with people, have strong communication skills, and are looking for a flexible local work opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
Requirements:
- At least one year of in-person customer service or teaching experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer and mobile device skills
Experience working in a public library, preferred.
