Librarian – Adult Services – Part time
The Moorestown Public Library is seeking a dynamic librarian to join its adult services team. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, have outstanding communication skills, and possess the ability to answer a variety of questions with enthusiasm in a reference department serving patrons of all ages. Comfort level with current and emerging technologies is a must, as is the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances and deliver programs and services both virtually and in-person.
Duties will include providing reference and reader’s advisory, facilitating programs and assisting with outreach, and providing technology training including 1 on 1 tech help. Performs other duties as assigned.
Hours: 12 hours per week including 11am-3pm on Saturdays, 12:30-5pm on Sundays and occasional evening or daytime hours.
Required qualifications: Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program. Graduate students nearing completion of a degree will be considered.
Compensation Range from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
