The Verona Public Library is seeking a reliable, customer-service oriented individual to work with the public in a friendly setting.

• Ability to multitask, handle interruptions, and prioritize effectively
Specific duties will involve:
• Checking in, checking out and renewing items
• Answering telephones and general library questions
• Registering new patrons and extending expiration dates
• Filling loan requests
• Retrieving materials from the book drop
• Packing and unpacking deliveries (some light lifting involved)
• Shelving and shelf-reading as needed
• Assisting patrons of all ages locate items in the library
• Basic computer support
Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, plus two Saturdays per month from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be available on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate must be available to work year round, including summers.
Compensation is $16.35 per hour.
