Event Description

LLNJ Skill Sharing Conversation

Topic: Skill-Sharing Conversation: Running a Writer's Workshop

Everyone has something to say—and they might benefit from having a safe place to discover, cultivate, and share their emerging voices. Creating a Writer’s Workshop at your library allows people the opportunity to grow both as writers and readers.

It doesn't matter if someone is penning the next Great American novel or simply exploring the craft. A Writer’s Workshop is a helpful starting point to support patrons on their writing journey with avenues to share their work, resources and services to help them hone their craft, and opportunities to connect.

Join us as we hear from those who have successfully launched writing workshops for adult patrons, offering a welcoming place for aspiring writers of all backgrounds to discover and cultivate their emerging voices.

Come ready to share with and learn from your library colleagues across the state as we share ideas and advice on creating, leading, and maintaining Writer’s Workshops. All are welcome. Register now!
