LLNJ Skill Sharing Conversation

Topic: Skill-Sharing Conversation: Collection Development–Tips & Tricks

"Regardless of the type of institution, collection development is an important components of a library’s organizational system and is often related to the goals and mission of the organization," according to the American Library Association. "an optimal library collection is one that is reviewed on a consistent basis for accuracy, currency, usage, diversity, and subject area gaps."

Are you interested in learning more about collection development, but unsure where to start? Join us as we share tips and tricks we've learned along the way. Feel free to learn from library colleagues across the state as we share our ideas for collection development, both fiction and nonfiction.

This is the first session in a two-part series; the next session will discuss collection maintenance and weeding. Join us for each session, or both. All are welcome!

Moderator: Mary Martin, Director, Wanaque Public Library

Date & Time: Tuesday, April 8, 2-3PM

Location: Online via Zoom
