This meetup is open to any library staff interested in discussing and exploring LGBTQ/library issues.
Initial topic suggestions could include exploring improving workplace environments, professional development opportunities available to LGBTQ professionals/parapros and allies, discussing and developing LGBTQ-centered programming ideas, and supporting and disseminating best practices in working with LGBTQ populations. We can also identify and share notable local LGBTQ library collections.
It's an opportunity to share your successes, explore the ideas you'd still like to bring to fruition, and learn from what others have accomplished. Join us for a casual, friendly discussion and a great chance to network with colleagues. We'll provide the coffee and bagels, you provide the scintillating conversation.
