Darby Malvey

I am the Programming & Outreach Manager at LibraryLinkNJ, the New Jersey Library Cooperative as well as chair of the MentorNJ Task Force. I came to my position here after beginning my career as a Youth Services librarian in public libraries and then spending several years as a School Library Media Specialist, working with Middle and High School students!

My current work includes coordinating state-wide professional development and Continuing Education programs for library workers of all types, as well as managing grant programs, organizing networking events, and working with the MentorNJ and MentorLIB initiative to keep library staff connected! I've served on many statewide committees, sections, and Executive Boards over the years, and have lots of experience working with both the New Jersey Library Association and New Jersey Association of School Librarians. I'm passionate about helping to build the New Jersey library ecosystem and finding ways for library staff of all types to support and inspire each other.  

Although I live in Camden County and work in Trenton, I'm always happy to hear from library staff across the state. Reach out any time!
