Karl

My name is Karl and I have been the branch manager of the Van Buren Branch of the Newark Public Library for the past four years. I have experience managing a small library (6 staff members) and running programs for children, teens, and adults. My current library is located in the Ironbound section of Newark where many of our patrons speak Spanish and Portuguese as a first language. During my time in this position, I have learned how to run practice English conversation groups and citizenship programs. If you work in a community with a multilingual, immigrant population, I would love to share with you some of what I have learned.
