About Me

I have been an energetic leader of our library’s Lending Services department for almost 15 years. I oversee and contribute to an excellent customer experience for our visitors. I believe in using interpersonal skills, team support, inclusiveness, and managing by example to lead and mentor 20+ diverse staff and volunteers from different backgrounds and cultures. I have a paralegal and HR background. In 2005, I started as a volunteer in our library to improve my English language skills, worked as a shelver, and gradually moved into my current role. My passion is to work with people. My key accomplishments include: implementing fully customized self-checks, revitalizing the library’s check-out desk customer and user experience, implementing a “behind-the-desk-store,” optimizing staff schedules allowing a smooth transition to extended night hours and library closures, implementing a self-pickup hold shelf.
