Making the Most of Your Media & Snapshot Month Celebration

Join the NJLA Public Relations Committee, MentorNJ, and LibraryLinkNJ as we celebrate the many amazing libraries and staff that participated in this year's Snapshot Month campaign!

In recognition of all Snapshot Month participants, all members of the library community are invited to a virtual event on Tuesday, 4/26 from 10AM - 11:30. The program, "Making the Most of Your Media," presented by Carolann DeMatos and Cory Snearowski of SCLSNJ, will:

• Examine the importance of strategic planning and communication for media promotions;
• Explore the basics of filmmaking for all budgets;
• Produce picture perfect imagery;
• Share how to be comfortable on camera;
• Analyze mistakes we’ve made (so you don’t have to!);
• Review (free!) assets you may be missing.

Following the presentation, NJLA's PR Committee will share highlights from Snapshot Month 2022, showcasing the creative, inspiring, and engaging submissions that gave us all a glimpse into the best of what New Jersey libraries offer!

About the Presenters
	Carolann DeMatos, SCLSNJ’s director of marketing and public relations, is an award-winning mixed media and digital artist based in NJ. DeMatos, in her spare time, is working to achieve her doctoral degree from Teachers College, Columbia University.
	Cory Snearowski, SCLSNJ’s media specialist, is a filmmaker based in NJ. His work has been published by The Onion, ClickHole, and Adult Swim, and he has been personally featured in Vulture, AV Club, and Paste Magazine. Snearowski's short films have been selected for Slamdance, NoBudge, and Rooftop Films Summer Series.
