White background with blue text reads "Ready for Anything? Successful Resiliency Grants from LibraryLinkNJ"

NJ libraries proved agile, innovative and essential during the pandemic, but the crisis situations our libraries face don’t stop there. From natural disasters to unmet community needs, it’s imperative that libraries continuously look ahead and prepare themselves for their next great challenge.  Join us for a panel discussion to learn how some of New Jersey’s libraries did just that, utilizing resiliency mini-grants offered by LibraryLinkNJ’s “Ready for Anything” program. Representatives from several recipient libraries will discuss their grant-funded projects for continuing services when buildings are closed, telehealth needs, sheltering in place and mindful school libraries.

Panelists and their resiliency projects include:

  • Laverne Mann, Director, Cherry Hill Public Library
    • Cherry Hill Community Resilience: Sheltering in Place During Emergencies and Natural Disasters
  • Eleni Glykis, Director, Red Bank Public Library
    • Telehealth Booth
  • Robin Rockman, Director, Caldwell Public Library
    • Reimaging Library Service in Unprecedented Times
  • Skye Silverstein, Media Specialist, Rosa International Middle School (via a pre-recorded video)
    • The Mindful Library

Moderator: Ralph Bingham, Executive Director, LibaryLinkNJ
