Descriptions

LLNJ Skill Sharing Conversation

Topic: Skill-Sharing Conversation: Sustainable Crafts & Projects

According to the American Library Association, "Weeding, or the deselection of material, is critical to collection maintenance and involves the removal of resources from the collection. Space limitations, edition, format, physical condition, and number of copies are considered when evaluating physical materials."

While there are many weeding resources available online to provide guidance to library staff, it can be difficult to know where to get started. Join us as we share tips and tricks we've learned along the way. Feel free to learn from library colleagues across the state as we share our ideas for wise weeding.

This is the second session in a two-part series; the first session discussed collection development. Join us for each session, or both. All are welcome!

Moderator: Mary Martin, Director, Wanaque Public Library

Date & Time: Tuesday, May 6, 2-3PM

Location: Online via Zoom
