Event Description

LLNJ Skill Sharing Conversation

Topic: Skill-Sharing Conversation: K-pop at the Library: Clubs, Programs, & More

As K-pop has made its way beyond Korean borders, books and programs involving the worldwide cultural phenomenon have become more prevalent. In response, libraries across country—and throughout NJ— have responded by creating K-pop clubs where fans can connect with each other, as well as K-pop inspired displays and programs, such as karaoke and dance mobs.

Are you interested in learning more about K-pop, but unsure where to start? Or, are you interested in developing K-pop related programs, but need ideas and inspiration?

Feel free to learn from library colleagues across the state as we discuss our ideas for reaching K-pop fans in your community, and, in turn, creating a safe space for K-pop fans of all ages to connect with each other. All are welcome!

Moderator: Stacey Shapiro, Cranford Public Library

Date & Time: Wednesday, December 4, 11AM-12PM

Location: Online via Zoom
