Bohyun Kim

Bohyun Kim is Chief Technology Officer and Associate Professor at the University of Rhode Island Libraries. Formerly, she was the Associate Director for Library Applications and Knowledge Systems at the University of Maryland Baltimore. She is the author of two books, Understanding Gamification and Library Mobile Experience: Practices and User Expectations, and has been working in library technology for over 15 years. 

She served as an invited panelist for the Top Tech Trends program at the 2014 ALA Annual Conference and was part of the Expert Panel for the 2017 NMC Horizon Report. She is the founding editor of Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) TechConnect Blog. She is on the Advisory Board of the American Library Association (ALA)'s Center for the Future of Libraries and the ALA Office for Information Technology Policy, and is also the Vice President and President-Elect of the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA).
