Instructor/Presenter Bio

Kimberly Bolan Cullin is an experienced librarian, consultant, and author with a broad background in libraries. She is the lead consultant of Kimberly Bolan & Associates, a library consulting firm based outside Indianapolis (IN).  She is also an Associate Principal Consultant for Providence Associates based in Cottonwood (AZ). Ms. Bolan Cullin has consulted with hundreds of public, school, and academic libraries in 20+ states and abroad specializing in facilities planning and design, 21st century library services, children’s and teen services, marketing and customer service.  Kim is a Library Journal recognized “Mover & Shaker”, has published three books and numerous journal articles, and is a frequent speaker at state and national conferences. She’s active in PLA, YALSA, and LITA, an advisor to ALA Editions, and runs her own popular blog, http://indielibrarian.blogspot.com/.

 

Rob Cullin is the co-founder and President of Evanced Solutions based in Indianapolis (IN), a company that grew out of a consulting project to design a library program and events management application for a local library. Rob has enjoyed working extensively with libraries of all sizes, helping them understand how to be more efficient, improve customer service, and integrate technology cost effectively into their public service plans. A 2007 LJ Mover & Shaker, Rob is a passionate library advocate and is active in the library world beyond Evanced. He is the co-author of Technology Made Simple and numerous journal articles. He is active in LITA's Public Library Technology Interest Group and has presented nationally and at the state level. He has 20 years experience in process automation, improvement and development, marketing, and organizational development.
