The Executive Board of LibraryLinkNJ is holding a special meeting on Monday, February 5, 2018 to discuss with the entire membership the continuing challenges during the transition to working with Expak, the new vendor for our statewide delivery service.

This is a statewide, open public meeting.

We are holding this meeting in two venues: with very limited seating at our offices in Piscataway, and with more abundant seating in the online meeting room we use for virtual board meetings.

We are offering both face-to-face and virtual participation to make attendance and participation as equitable as possible. Online participants will be able to share comments and pose questions via the meeting room chat box. LibraryLinkNJ staff will track all comments and questions to ensure they are responded to appropriately by the Executive Director and/or Board Members.

RSVP for one of 60 seats in the virtual meeting room. (A group of colleagues can participate via a single login on one computer.)

The virtual meeting room will open at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 5. We will send an access email to all virtual  meeting room guests that morning.

For those who can’t attend in real time, the meeting will be recorded and available afterward on this page.

We anticipate high interest in this meeting. Please RSVP as soon as possible to be assured of a physical or virtual seat. Registration will close when full or at 5pm on Saturday, February 3, whichever occurs first.

Instructions for participants in the Virtual Executive Board Meeting:

If you are participating via the virtual meeting room, you’ll need to have or do the following:

The virtual meeting room will open at 2:00 pm, and the meeting will commence at 2:30 pm.

We will send out the meeting room URL the morning of the meeting. When you connect to the meeting room, sign in as a guest with your first and last name.

Before the meeting:

We are using a virtual meeting software package called Adobe Connect. We think you’ll find it easy to use, but please do read this Visual Quick Start Guide. It is important that you complete the first step in this document, testing your computer, prior to the meeting

Voice/Audio

We will be using the Voice-Over IP (VoIP) option for audio, so you do not need to use a telephone. There is no phone number to call. Your computer will need speakers, either built-in or external, for you to hear the presentation. You can use the text chat feature to ask questions.

Multiple Staff Members on the Same Computer

If you are not the first person to use Adobe Connect on a computer, the software may automatically log you in as the previous person. Adobe Connect stores a cookie on your computer to remember users; you may need to remove this cookie to sign in as yourself.
