Descriptions

MentorNJ, in collaboration with the NJLA Leadership & Education Subcommittee, is proud to announce a Technology Unconference held at the Monroe Township Public Library on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

The Technology Unconference is a unique opportunity to be part of the conversation on all things technology in libraries! No matter your job description, or skill level, this is a great way to converse and learn from colleagues around the state. No tech topic is off-limits so bring your success, challenges and curiosity with you! Our hope for this to be a catalyst to start an even larger statewide conversation that will help all feel more confident and empowered in technology use and implementation.

How much will this event cost?
This event will be free to attend and is open to all library employees at any level.

Who is this event for?
All library employees who use or interact with technology in any capacity to perform their job duties.

Why should you attend?
Attend to engage with your colleagues in libraries across the state to discuss the challenges associated with technology use, technology anxiety, and technology training in libraries.

To help plan for this Unconference and for future technology resources and offerings, please take a few minutes to complete our Technology Survey for NJ Libraries. This survey will help us accomplish two main goals: understanding potential topics for the unconference and understanding general attitudes of library staff regarding technology use.

Even if you are unable to attend or do not plan to attend the unconference, completing this survey will be extremely beneficial. Click here to complete the survey.
