New Jersey Community of the Special Libraries Association

Have you heard of the Special Libraries Association?

Separate from the American Library Association and state library associations, the Special Libraries Association brings together librarians and information professionals from all types of libraries – public libraries, academic libraries, law libraries, medical libraries, and company libraries – you name it!

The New Jersey Community of the Special Libraries Association is looking for new members and volunteers. Becoming a member is great and easy way to build your professional network, collaborate with colleagues, and gain invaluable leadership experience. Last year, the New Jersey Community held the first ever virtual Spring Open House; facilitated a virtual panel session on the changing information professional’s job market; coordinated a virtual technology talk on emerging trends in data science; and planned three networking dine arounds throughout the summer.

Please consider joining the New Jersey Community of the Special Libraries Association as we plan more engaging programming for 2023; launch a mentoring and job shadowing program; and continue to provide networking opportunities for all New Jersey librarians and information professionals.
