ANNOUNCING THE RESTART OF DELIVERY SERVICES

ANNOUNCING THE RESTART OF DELIVERY SERVICES
October 19, 2020

LibraryLinkNJ is thrilled to announce that Delivery Services will resume on Monday, October 19, 2020. Thank you all so much for your patience throughout the pandemic shut-down.

Delivery services will only be provided to the libraries who have completed the delivery service restart questionnaire. The form is still available on the LibraryLinkNJ website: https://librarylinknj.org/delivery/restart-questionnaire

The number of delivery days for each library will remain the same as prior to the pandemic, unless you have elected to reduce your number of deliveries per week. Our delivery vendor has informed us that delivery routes will remain close to the same.

We encourage you to follow your governing agency’s guidelines for the safe handling and distribution of library materials. Our vendor has trained and equipped their delivery drivers to take adequate precautions, including wearing gloves and masks, frequent hand sanitizing, and contactless delivery service.

Starting on Monday, October 19, 2020, the vendor will make rounds to pick up materials from libraries. We recognize that several libraries have materials that belong to other libraries, waiting to be returned to their homes. The vendor anticipates that it will take them a couple of days to clear out backlogs, after which, the normal pick up and drop off services will resume.

Please kindly let us know if you encounter any problems or if you have any suggestions to help improve our delivery process. We are excited to be back in the business of providing delivery services to you.
