Library of The Chathams is seeking a Summer Reading Club Assistant for the summer of 2025. Summer Reading Club Assistants supervise teen volunteers, listen to reports on books from children of all ages, keep track of how much each child reads, administer prizes when reading benchmarks are reached, track volunteer hours, and ensure that the library’s busy summer reading program runs smoothly. Approximately 30 hours per week, this position will last eight weeks, Monday through Saturday, from the week of June 23 through the week of August 14. Must be willing and able to work all 8 weeks at morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Experience using Excel and high school diploma required; some college preferred.

- Chatham’s Fishawack Festival - Saturday, June 14 – 9 am to 4 pm
- Volunteer orientation – Wednesday, June 4 from 3:30 to 5 pm
- Week of June 9 (approximately 10) at a mutually-agreeable time to set up Children’s Room, etc.
- Pizza party on August 18 – 6 to 9 pm
