PM Fundamentals + AI Integration Bootcamp: Managing Projects at the Speed of AI
Monroe Township Library (Middlesex County)
Open to all LibraryLinkNJ Member Library staff
Event Description
Don't just manage projects > accelerate them.
This 3-day bootcamp bridges the gap between proven Project Management Best Practices (PMBOK) and the cutting-edge AI tools transforming the industry. While the public and private sectors race to understand the implications of AI, this course gives you the insights and strategy to adapt to the "AI reality”.
Designed for both new project coordinators and seasoned program managers, this course integrates AI concepts into every module. You will spend the first two days mastering core PM fundamentals while simultaneously learning how to use Generative AI to automate and enhance those very tasks. The experience culminates on Day 3 with a full-day "Project in Crisis" Simulation, where you will take the reins of a failing project and use your new toolkit to turn it around.
Attendee Learning Objectives:
At the end of the course, attendees should be knowledgeable of the following:
- Master Core PM Fundamentals: confidently navigate the "Triple Constraint" (Scope, Time, Cost) and understand the critical role of the Project Manager.
- Accelerate AI Understanding: Become familiar with popular Generative AI (GenAI) concepts and its role in project management, and learn how to use GenAI to improve estimation accuracy, identify blind spots in project plans, and streamline task management.
- Create Common Project Artifacts with AI: Use AI to draft Project Charters, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Risk Registers, and Communication Plans
- Navigate Risks & Ethics: Develop an understanding of the risks and challenges of implementing AI, including ethical AI issues.
- Apply Skills in Real-Time: Gain hands-on experience solving complex project scenarios using a modern tech stack.
