About Me

I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lycoming College  as well as an MLS from the University of Pittsburgh, and have worked in academic, corporate, and public libraries in New Jersey in a variety of roles, including Head of Circulation,  Head of Technical Services, Reference, and Library Administration.  In my current position, I am the #2 administrator in our library system, and oversee the operations of five branch libraries, the library's courier delivery service, and the Technical Services Department.  I am a hands-on, detail-oriented "people person" who highly values excellent customer service, and am the "go-to" person for staff who have questions about day-to-day operations/procedures/policies.  I am involved in a wide variety of projects within my library system (includes database and ematerials purchasing, developing systemwide policies and procedures, coordinating materials selection among our various locations), and love to learn about new things and to stay abreast of what's happening not only in "Libraryland", but in the broader world.  Currently, I am our library's DigitalLibraryNJ (DLNJ) representative and serve as the Secretary for that group.  I am also a founding and active member of the Sussex-Warren Forum (otherwise known as SWELL), a loose network of libraries in Sussex and Warren Counties that works together in the areas of reciprocal borrowing, staff training, networking, and sharing experiences, knowledge, and best practices.  In the past, I have served on both the LibraryLinkNJ and the NJ Special Libraries Association Boards.  My hobbies include music, crafts and (surprise!) reading.  I am always happy to assist and to learn from others, and am excited and honored to participate in the Mentor program!
