About Me

I am currently the Interim Head of Outreach Services during the construction of our Main Library. I oversee library initiatives such as the ESL program, Northstar training and NJHealthConnect iPads. I apply for grants and look for outreach opportunities. This is even more important now that we are in a small interim space.  I also sit on the Boards of both the Springfield Avenue Partnership (local SID) and the Achieve Education Foundation. After the construction I will return to my position as Branch Manager of the Hilton Branch Library. There I manage the day to day operations including information, circulation, collections, outreach and programming services.  I'm also responsible for all resources including the Create Space (the Library's makerspace), offering of technology classes as well as promoting and managing the ESOL services.

Prior to becoming Branch Manager I was the Head of Teen Services at the Maplewood Memorial Library for almost 3 years. My responsibilities included programming, collection development, readers advisory and reference for tweens and teens.  I also acted as the Library’s liaison to the middle and high schools as well as local non-profits who provide teen services.  I spearheaded the Library's makerspace.  Prior to that, I was the Young Adult Librarian for 3 years and a Children's Librarian for approximately 4 years.  I received my MLIS from Rutgers.
