My name is Karl and I am the manager of the Van Buren Branch Library in Newark. 

Managing a branch library for the first time can be a huge challenge. In larger library systems, branch staff often feel neglected as administrators are known to favor the main or anchor building in the library system. Branch managers often need to engage in creative thinking and additional advocacy to solve the problems at their branches.
