Kimberly Paone

I have been the Director of the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library since the fall of 2010, and previous to that time, I was the Branch Manager and Head of Teen Services at the Elizabeth Public Library. My career in libraries spans 22+ years. 

My focus as administrator is to lead MAPL in meeting the needs of our community, while still prioritizing our staff members' needs as well. The mental and physical health and wellbeing of the staff is very important to me. 

I have been involved in several building remodeling projects over the years, have supported and presented staff days and professional development, and have specific experience in running a joint library - those are my most prominent areas of interest/expertise. 

I have also held leadership roles in NJLA, LMxAC, and LibraryLinkNJ and have a good deal of knowledge about those organizations. 

I am one of the founding members of MentorNJ, serve on the MentorNJ Taskforce, and look forward to continuing the tradition of mentoring in whatever way I can be helpful.
