I have been the director at Westmoreland Public Library of Sumner County since December 2021. With a heart for early childhood literacy and community outreach, I have sought ways to continually create intentional programming for all ages. I studied Early Childhood Education and Creative Writing in college, and strive to increase early literacy rates in my community. I attended the 2022 and 2023 ARSL Conferences and presented in Wichita, KS on Homeschool Programming. This topic specifically is close to my heart because we have seen such a boom in homeschooling since the start of 2020, and I don't want any child to fall behind on their literacy and early learning skills.
I am currently working on certification through the Tennessee State Library in their Public Library Management Institute.
