I have had a long career in academic libraries, and have served as a mentor in an ALA division program and currently am the inaugural Coordinator for Training and Mentorship in my library. I believe that mentoring is a reciprocal process in which both the mentee and mentor learn and grow. Previously, I served as the head of Rutgers University Libraries' Central Technical Services unit, which provided resource description (MARC and non-MARC metadata) for the entire library system.
I'm also a published author and experienced journal editor.
