Mimi Hui

I have been the Director of the Hasbrouck Heights Public Library since the fall of 2006.  I first came on board as the Assistant Director in 1999. Before that time, my library career began at the Passaic Public Library. I was hired as a library page and worked up the ranks.  My career in libraries spans 38+ years and I love what I do. 

I have held various leadership roles in BCCLS, NJLA, and LibraryLinkNJ.  I am one of the founding members of MentorNJ and continue to serve on the MentorNJ Taskforce.   

In my current role as the Library Director, I have the opportunity to work alongside many individuals from all walks of life, whether it is in the library profession, in local government, in the community, or just about anywhere. I continue to learn and share what I have picked up.   I have been very fortunate to meet people who took the time to connect, invest, and mentor me.  I look forward to doing the same in return.
